Glad I grew up always expecting more from tech and seeing companies actually deliver. Feel like we’ve lost a lot of that. Always expect more.

An agent apprentice that shadows you and you permission across your entire workflow. The more you invest in ranking and training the agent, the better and more customized it gets. You invest in it to gain leverage. Hopefully some part is running locally, ideally you retain

No reason frontier tech VC ecosystem shouldn’t be as large or larger than VC ecosystem that has largely invested in knowledge work over the last 30 years. $1T spent on software. $108T spent on everything else.

Static human knowledge compression accessible to everyone. Largely a rear-view mirror. Data-driven thesis development now more accessible than ever. Consensus value accrues to Sequoia et al. for good reason. Differentiation is informed belief system, quality of questions,

People seem to have forgotten about product. Trust in a model/agent to achieve its task autonomously is inversely proportional to the amount of product necessary to build around a workflow. Trust is still almost universally low. Tons of product still to build.

Finally reading “The Fourth Turning” by William Strauss & Neil Howe. Could have been an email. I’m ngmi. I usually scoff at Blinkist from my high horse, but for this? Only so many times I can hear the same argument repeated until an ice pick to the eye seems like sweet relief.

It has never made sense to me that one job should have higher social standing than another. I grew up in a farming town in rural PA. Honest jobs, honest days work. I think this is a pernicious and pervasive attitude in the US that many other countries don't have.
