For my followers who aren't soccer fans: The new Super League would be like the 10 most popular NFL teams just deciding that they're in the playoffs every year regardless of record + then getting their salary cap increased by hundreds of millions more than the rest of the league.

People really need to stop comparing Rodgers/Love to Favre/Rodgers. So many reasons why the situations are completely different.

Respect Tom's opinion here but I don't see why it makes sense to trade Rodgers this year rather than waiting to see if he'll actually sit out the entire season. The Packers aren't competing without Rodgers this year anyway, so what's the rush?

The confidence some Packers fans have that the team will keep contending post-Rodgers is... 😬. Not saying they definitely won't, but after the fluke of getting Favre-Rodgers, some aren't appreciating how difficult it is to find a top QB or how difficult it is to win without one.

Spot on here. Many are overlooking the fact that -- aside from the improbability of Rodgers turning into a once-in-a-lifetime talent -- he was also a much better prospect than Love at the time he was drafted.

I've been to about 7 or 8 regular season/playoff Packers games and never saw the wave or excessive noise on offense. Is this a preseason thing or did I just go to the right games that happened to have the smart fans?

Jason Galloway (@jason_galloway) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Maybe I'm in the minority but I disagree. Way too much time between plays, and it's not really ending the game sooner. The 2-point after scoring in third OT was exciting enough.

Jason Galloway (@jason_galloway) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Don't get me wrong, it was exciting. But definitely not any more so than a normal multi-OT game IMO. It felt too gimmicky and like I said before most of it was waiting instead of actual football. Staying in the same end zone the whole time could help.

I was invested in both these games in a way most people weren't, and I'm sorry Badgers fans, the Bama-LSU game was 100x better.

Everyone needs reminding that the Rodgers fiasco began because the Packers refused to commit to him beyond this season, not because Rodgers didn't want to play for the Packers. Hopefully those in the front office swallow their pride and realize this isnt the time to move on.

Jason Galloway (@jason_galloway) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I hope Rodgers does this but I would understand his hesitancy after what's transpired the last couple years. If he makes less it makes it easier for the Packers to cut bait on him in the future.

Recency bias in sports in fascinating. Someone who played lights out in a Super Bowl victory and was more efficient in the playoffs than just about anyone over the past decade is now a regular-season quarterback because he had a bad game.

The offense and special teams were both hugely at fault for the loss. The difference is the offense was playing a great defense in awful weather. The special teams were just flat-out incompetent. Everyone knew they were incompetent all year and hardly anything was done to fix it.
