Canada is secular society. No religion's values are "Canadian values." Sure we have a predominantly Christian past, but so what? Every religion has its good and bad bits. The beauty of being secular is the ability to change with the times, unbeholden to one particular faith.

If you can't leave your religion out of politics, you're not qualified to be in politics. Your imaginary friends are not my problem. Your god is not my god, and I will not live by your beliefs. Canada only works with both freedom of and freedom from religion.
