Receiving a form rejection on a full request is a bit disheartening. And by a bit I mean a lot. 😅

AHHH! I made the shortlist!! 😱 This piece has a lot to do with motherhood and its impact on my life. It’s as vulnerable as I’ve been in a piece of writing, and as scary as it was to share that part of myself, I hope you all get to read it. ❤️

I’m trying to write more short stories. I had ZERO confidence in my short story writing. It took me YEARS to have a short story receive more than complete silence or a rejectjon. We all say it, but it’s so hard to believe some times: writing truly is subjective, you guys.
