The Y Combinator antitrust complaint-fest is out of touch. Claims “platforms stifle innovation”, yet number of tech co. exploded from ~10k in 2000 to 500k by '25 in just US. Ask our EU members dealing w/ over-regulation, DMA isn't helping. #NoOneWantsTechAtTheSpeedOfGovernment

Very proud! @EUorigin (started as a sub-community on CU(E)BES) wants to inspire EU entrepreneurs with crowdsourced casestudies on EU/EEA cross border success stories. Soon EUorigin app will join @mEUvyapp as a powerful pro-EU services stack. Link: bsky.app/profile/janwil…

App Store protections—like privacy, refund security, and parental controls—safeguard users from the same dark pattern using developers who are now demanding more “freedom.” True digital freedom must include informed consent and real user protection. Link: mastodon.social/@janwillens/11…

Epic Games is acting like it’s entitled to special treatment from App Review—despite being the same company that covertly hotfixed Fortnite to bypass Apple’s payment system in 2020. The audacity to now complain about the deeper review process after that history is wild.

Allowing Epic Games to distribute Fortnite on the App Store, especially without a very thorough review process, would be a very bad precedent to set against every honest developer who puts in the effort to comply with App Store guidelines. Apple is absolutely right here.

Apple’s App Store is now essentially forced to do business with Epic Games—despite Epic deliberately breaking contract in 2020. Wild.

App Developer News: while anti-tech folks like to talk about the "Apple Tax", the truth is that over 90% of app store sales cost developers nothing under the current system.
