A key pathway to a decarbonised industry sector is direct electrification.

Analysis by Energy4Europe 🇪🇺 shows that by 2050 62% of final energy demand in industry comes from electricity in the most cost-effective pathway to net zero.

That is 3x more in percentage terms than today.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of speaking on a panel on decarbonising heat at Innovation Zero held at Olympia London.

We installed Enrico, our NIBE Energy Systems Ltd air source heat pump, in summer 2021.

We used to burn 46-48,000 kwh of gas each year to keep our poorly insulated home warm plus hot water.

In the past 12 months Enrico ate 8700 kWh of electricity - an energy reduction of 80% !!
