Today my colleagues and I joined the Governor Abbott and the Kerr County Camp familles impacted on July 4th floods as he signed the Heaven’s 27 Camp Safety Act, which we passed in the legislature, to improve flood safety at youth camps.

Texas' Secretary of State, Jane Nelson, just announced that—despite Texas Attorney General Attorney General Ken Paxton siding the Texas GOP—she is still opposing the Republican Party's effort to close the primary. Nelson is an appointee of Greg Abbott.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend the Combes PD National Night Out! It was wonderful meeting with constituents and connecting with all the local organizations and community partners who make events like this possible.

As the Texas GOP debates whether to censure Republican State Legislators, a new statewide survey of over 1,000 voters from Hunt Research shows that 75.9% of likely Republican Primary voters approve of Republican Texas State Legislators.

In executive session, RPT Chairman George received a phone call from the White House directing the SREC to NOT apply penalty three (ballot removal) threatening they would pull donations and stating the SREC would tarnish President Trump’s legacy.
