If we want quality music somebody is gonna have to pay for it. Streaming services don’t pay properly, labels want a bigger cut than ever and just sit and wait for you to go viral, TikTok doesn’t pay properly, and touring is getting prohibitively expensive for most artists.

When asked what he thinks his legacy will be the Taoiseach said he doesn’t know & he feels sorry for the people who have to write “that rubbish”.

He said however that things like full employment & a budget surplus might be more valued in hindsight.

I came to London yesterday because in a few hours I’m the Grand Marshall of the London St Patrick’s Day Parade. And I’m honoured and looking forward to it. But after what was done to asylum seekers in Dublin yesterday, it now feels weird because I’m also ashamed to be irish today
