I'm done talking about 'charity' and the 'charity sector'. It's not #charity it's #justice. By now surely we've learnt our language frames our attitudes, approach and cultures. It matters. All other countries with decent #civilsociety sectors call them that. #justicenotcharity

Round 1 of #WorstXmasTrad - vote for the Christmas Tradition one you dislike the most for the 16 polls. I tried to group similar nominations where possible. Please share this tweet - I will pin it and hang all polls off this one. #BestXmasTrad to follow early in 2024

This is great from James Shaw and Green Party NZ. Why would a company invest millions in preparing to mine/dam/drill - only to potentially lose their consent in a couple of years time?

Reykivik, Iceland. Just saying—why not turn Auckland’s K Road entirely rainbow from Symonds Street to Ponsonby Road? Bring. It.

So the chair of the committee looking at the Fast Track Bill took $campaign donations, and illegally did not declare it, from a guy with substantial shares in the seabed mining company that Chris Bishop then invited to use the Fast Track. rnz.co.nz/news/political…

As our cities get hotter and the need for modal shift more urgent, mobility and green infrastructure can no longer be planned in isolation. Bratislava seemed to understand this over three decades ago, when they built this path that provides a sublimely “cool” cycling experience.

Nigel farage wants you to think that Britain has an immigration problem. It doesn't. Britain had a problem with millionaires hoarding wealth, egged on by politicians and the press. Britain has a problem with racism. Britain has a Nigel Farage MP problem. RT if you agree.

By the end of today 44 of 46 councils will have retained/reaffirmed their Māori wards. A clear signal that local government values what Māori wards bring to decision making.

The 2nd most populous city in Italy hosted a pilot project using e-cargo bikes instead of vans, and found the companies reduced delivery times 23% and reduced operating costs 40%. Not bad, huh.
