DARVO—or “Deny, attack, reverse victim and offender”—is a model to explain the way perpetrators of sexual violence deflect blame. “It’s an aggressive denial, usually attacking a person’s credibility,” a psychologist said. “Trump is really good at it.” nyer.cm/bBQfiSh

For the first time in this war, I wrote in the first person. Here is what it's like to experience an air raid in Kyiv, to negotiate between bombs and normality, and to come out of shelter into the smoky aftermath. Free to read: wsj.com/world/gaming-t…

"By 4:30 a.m., the cold is creeping through my two sweaters and I can’t keep my eyes open. The desire to sleep wins out over fear and I head home, despite the 15 attack drones still in the air." The eye-opening calculus Jane Lytvynenko and other Ukrainians juggle every day.

So Zelensky did everything Trump asked him to do, signed away mineral rights, agreed to an unconditional ceasefire, and the U.S. still cut off previously funded weapons supplies, leaving Ukrainian cities defenseless against Russian missile strikes. A lesson to all here.

Russia fired 5,429 attack drones at Ukraine in June, an all-time high. During those air raids, drones are supplemented by cruise and ballistic missiles. June was one of the most difficult months for bombardments in Ukraine, ever. Last week, an F16 pilot died fighting an assault.
