No news on the boat of refugees still adrift on the open sea. It may be near North Aceh. We urge any nearby vessels to apply the Convention of the Law of the Sea and to provide rescue to a place of safety. Every hour counts. IFRC will assist at any point of disembarkation.

Meeting with the diplomatic corps in Russia was an opportunity to present our response to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and impacted countries alongside with ICRC and Российский Красный Крест. We also discussed our major humanitarian concerns as we scale up our support to people.

At IFRC we could respond to the earthquake in Türkiye and Syria with great speed thanks to the continued support by those giving to regular resources. Giving to regular resources allows us to strategically and swiftly decide how funds will be used.
