BMJ just posted this systematic evidence review of 63 studies. It found "a lack of evidence supporting any association of e-cigarette use with cardiovascular disease." That cuts out 36% of all smoking-related deaths. Seems like something people who smoke would want to know.

If you build a legal #cannabis market that works, people will use it. Five years after legalisation, the average Canadian cannabis consumer is now walking into a licensed shop. They are paying taxes. They are choosing a menu instead of a mystery bag. potculturemagazine.com/2025/08/19/can…

Imagine buying a can of beer, & having absolutely no idea how strong it was, if it even was beer, or if it had been adulterated with other unknown, potentially deadly drugs? *ALL DRUGS* need to be responsibly regulated to minimise risks and enable informed decision making 1/

Interview... My critique of the self-serving tobacco control establishment: protecting its own interests while casually harming millions of others. Not everyone, of course, but far too many.

In a letter published today in the BMJ, we call for urgent action to correct misperceptions of vaping. As long as public perceptions of vaping are misaligned with evidence, the opportunity for vaping to further reduce smoking is being missed. bmj.com/content/391/bm…

A person has died in Queensland, after taking a teddybear-shaped pill, that looked like well known MDMA/ecstasy , but contained the deadly synthetic opioid protonitazene This was an entirely avoidable tragedy born of prohibition & political hostility to drug checking 🧵1/

The closure of Cohealth's medical services is a disaster for 12500 of the most vulnerable Victorians (homeless, mentally ill, violence victims). They need complex community care, & will now fall through the cracks. Shame. abc.net.au/news/2025-10-1…
