What about a middle ground on the yellow paint thing where the transparency of the paint gradually increases as you get through the game so your brain is subconsciously trained to identify it without actually seeing it.

This scumbag lost his seat and he's still on TV every week. The huge amounts of exposure the morally bankrupt labour right get is one of the reasons why the country is in a constant state of regression. They contribute nothing and make everything worse.
