Congratulations to UNC College of Arts and Sciences senior Pratyush Seshadri on receiving the Marshall Scholarship! Pratyush plans to develop economic mechanisms to reduce climate change effects in his graduate studies at the University of Oxford. I look forward to seeing his continued innovation.

It was an honor to meet #UNC alumna Pepper Dowd in Charlotte recently. Pepper has supported Tar Heels and the UNC College of Arts and Sciences for over five decades and was pivotal in creating the Arts and Sciences Foundation, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
This year, UNC-Chapel Hill is welcoming more than 5,100 new first-year students, our largest first-year class ever, alongside 1,027 transfer students and 4,422 new graduate students. I’m wishing these Tar Heels a strong start to the year and am eager to meet them around campus!
