Well, look at this: When you push, it happens. Three North Carolina house reps have introduced a bill to fund/improve and modernize the NWS. I pushed for this in DC. Congresswoman Deborah Ross said she would try to work with NC representatives on finding a bill. I hope this bill advances.

A feisty line of storms has already produced numerous power outages, and some damage over the I-85 corridor of the upstate. The line is loosing some steam, but I do expect strong to severe winds with this in the western portions of the viewing area.

The severe threat for tomorrow is going to come down to storm coverage. Should storms develop they will likely pack a punch with strong winds, heavy rain, and lightning. Short range models have uptrended the coverage of storms across the area, so you'll want to stay posted!
