Everyone should be hoping for a successful COP29 and supporting the Azerbaijani Chairmanship. Securing agreement on tackling climate change is too important an issue to be undermined by politics. 🌍🇦🇿🌍

Delighted to moderate two panel sessions at Caspian Policy Center (CPC) Energy Security and Post-COP29 conference yesterday in London. A great chance to explore the opportunities and challenges for the Caspian region following COP29 in Baku last month.

Plenty of details still to be worked through, but also plenty of new opportunities for both countries. The two leaders should be applauded for taking this historic step. 👏👏 to 🇺🇸too. 🇮🇷and 🇷🇺hostility to the agreements show exactly why 🇦🇿and 🇦🇲 need to break free from them.
