Morning #BookTwitter! What’s everyone reading this weekend?

I turned 60 today. I watched the sun set over Joshua Tree last night and had 2 acceptances over the weekend. My words of aged wisdom are slow down, stay outside. Most of the things I spent my life worrying about never happened.

What’s the point of giving kids a childhood full of whimsy and wonder and imagination if we then demand they give it all up once they‘re adults? Childhood should plant the seeds of a person’s sense of wonder, which should be cultivated over a lifetime.

My mum passed away from cancer yesterday. I have nothing profound or poetic to say. I’m just really very sad. Prayers and spells and kind thoughts are very welcome.

I looked back at the first book I ever wrote 5 years ago and man is it terrible! I’ve improved so much 🎉🎉

My husband died last night. We were together 31 yrs. I found him collapsed in his shop, did CPR until ambo arrived, they weren't able to revive him. I'm stuck in rural WY in winter w/property I can't maintain alone. No kids, no family nearby, I don't know what to do

Just rang my Nan in Jamaica and she managed to watch some of Strictly at a friends house on the computer. She didn't know I was dancing with a man but said she loved it and doesn't care so long as I'm happy 🇯🇲🫶🏾🥹

Being a writer means always wanting to start writing a new book despite being in the middle of another 🙈🙈
