Canadian military exercises over Lake Ontario last night created a dramatic scene - along with lake effect cumulus clouds illuminated by a blazing nearly full moon. Flares are dropped over Lake Ontario by the Royal Canadian Air Force during search and rescue training.

Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco this morning as viewed from the Marin Headlands. The city skyline was completely enveloped in fog. If you look closely to the left of the bridge tower, you can see only two buildings barely peaking up through he fog layer.

The Pacific Coast Highway in California was looking spectacular yesterday. Around every corner a different incredible vista view is revealed. One minute you might be completely enveloped in fog and minutes later cloudless deep blue azure skies.

Next stop on our Pacific Coast tour: Pismo Beach. Like every other place we've been so far, we loved it. I also caught the moon setting over the Pacific Ocean last night and then the Milky Way rising. Can't wait to edit those. Today we're off to explore more of the Pacific Coast.
