Forget the NJSIAA aspect of this case. We now have a court order preventing a private high school from disciplining a student who got arrested during a school-sponsored event. That would seem to be a pretty big deal with potentially massive ramifications, no?

The SEC will only play three men’s sports — baseball, basketball and football — when the carousel stops spinning.

Every time Pikiell tries to spin this season, I am reminded of the scene in Spinal Tap where Ian Faith tells the band not to sweat the Boston show getting canceled because it's not a big college town. It's comical at this point.

The power conferences made the NCAA change the NIT rules to cater to them, then had a television partner create the Fake NIT. If individual players want to opt out, that's cool. But Rutgers and every other P4 program should be forced to endure the misery.

I can’t believe no one at Rutgers has told him to stop talking about the non-conference schedule. Well, actually I can. But still.

The fix is very simple: No offensive player should be permitted to assist the forward momentum of another offensive player from behind and/or within two yards of the line of scrimmage. That makes it a wedge play again. Which is the original football play.

Hopefully Shedeur Sanders goes to a team in a swing state so Stephen A. can do some town halls during First Take’s training camp residency.
