A decline in childhood #malaria but still work to do. Need a new focus on the effect of climate on malaria as #Malawi continues to be affected by climate variability. Routine data systems need strengthening too to improve surveillance malariajournal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…

I have attended courses organized by @drrachelowe,Felipe Colón, Madeleine Thomson and the team. One such course was about modelling climate impacts on health held ICTP a few years ago. These courses have profoundly shaped my understanding of #climate impacts on #InfectiousDisease.

Today in the afternoon, I was with a couple of colleagues from Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Programme and we spent an hour contributing towards mapping of roads in Blantyre City on OpenStreetMap. Every day, we are making some progress... #HarmingOgstone #PhD #OpenMapping #GIS #Malawi #Fulbright

🇲🇼 This 16-year-old’s clean-up campaign is giving Malawi's markets a facelift. Dwayne Nyambo mobilises young volunteers in Blantyre to clean up. This has helped to improve hygiene and cut down risks of diseases spreading to traders and visitors. #Malawi

Happy to have had the first ever practical session with the #envhealth& #biomed students MUBAS for human anatomy module. Previous cohorts never did any practical work under this module and I think as a young academician, this worthy celebrating. Hoping for more sessions ahead
