Two weeks into company building. Everything has been better than expected. Team is cracked. Product is uniquely valuable. Customer demand is increasing. Spend is low. I’m waiting to get smacked in the face with a bad problem but until then I’ll keep sprinting with optimism.

Building in your early 20s is exciting because everything is new. Building in your late 20s or 30s is even better because you actually know what you’re doing.

you have to be blind at this point to not see the future. the era of traditional software, as a stable object with version numbers, roadmaps & feature sets, is pretty much gone. we’re prolly just slow to admit it. future systems will be fluid, ambient, entangled with context.

I don’t know many top engineers or designers who use AI to replace their core workflow, which suggests it's easier to sell a capability to someone new than an optimization to someone experienced.

Many startups launch with a flashy, unconventional, bad-for-conversion site, then quickly switch to a more familiar UX. Is this intentional strategy? Or is it the classic new founder move to be bold... until they notice it doesn't convert?
