We show that GluD1 binds to GABA, an extraordinary feature for iGluRs. GluD1 activation produces long-lasting enhancement of GABAergic synaptic currents in the adult mouse through a mechanism dependent on trans-synaptic anchoring. 7/n

Beautiful analysis of human circuit architecture from Yangfan Peng et al. - it does not get more careful than this. A great demonstration that understanding circuit function requires consideration of individual neurons!
