KPR was pleased to be joined today by provincial & municipal education partners to turn the sod at the construction site of the new Northglen neighbourhood school in Bowmanville! Scheduled to open Sept 2025, the school will house 769 students, JK-Gr 8 & a 4-room childcare centre.

Chairperson Klassen Jeninga & Trustee Rose Kitney joined Minister Piccini, MPP Dave Smith, PKED & municipal & community partners to celebrate the announcement of a new program, Build & Soar aimed at connecting students with local construction, aerospace, and aviation employers!

Following the initial three-year program that ran from 2021-2024, this renewal and expansion (from 20 million to 23 million free menstrual products) is great news for menstruating students across Ontario!
