I'll update this with details from the report as we go through it. But, in short, just about everything Jahid and Maurice Chambers said - and they said some incredible things - has been upheld. The report is a brutal read but valuable, I think:

1/3 : Finally, I have been vindicated. It has taken 2 years to get the report done. Although it’s only the summary report has been published by Essex, I am still to see the full report. I have been fighting for this and I want to see the full report.

2/3: There hasn’t been any accountability and lot going on behind the scenes. When you get racially abused and bullied for a long time, it never leaves you. I do find it difficult to speak about it and gets me angry but reasons I do it because of the next generation.

3/3: I keep telling myself it’s for a good cause and keep on fighting regardless how difficult it is. All of this only made an impact because of going to the media. The unions and the reporting lines which should have worked have been hopeless.

Yesterday an annual fixture took place at Blackheath Cricket Club 🏏 between a #PlatformCricket side consisting of six current coaches and five young players who have graduated through Platform Cricket’s programme skippered by jahid ahmed and the Marylebone Cricket Club a thrilling game ended in a draw!

Platform coaches Nikhil, jahid ahmed Chris, Jon, Matt L and Matt G have been very impressed with the progress of Janiru, Mubarak, Ibrahim, Olivia, Mansor and Lennox! We were delighted to see them receive their first cricket kits and take the next step in their cricket journeys!
