"In being deliberate about choosing positive wording when talking about math at home, our children have a better chance of developing positive feelings around learning math and are less likely to develop math anxiety." edumatchpublishing.com/post/buying-in… Alice Aspinall

Thank you to @JackHeadley7 and Vicki AllenCook (she/her) for bringing the Turtle Island Map to Public Schools Branch students.
Thanks Birchwood School for hosting myself and Sandra Skeffington (she/her) and allowing us to explore Truth and Reconciliation through the voices of Rita Joe and @beccaleat. Great conversation and engagement by all the students.Education PEI
Yesterday I joined students at East Wiltshire Intermediate School (East Wiltshire) in Cornwall PE to discuss the meaning and significance of the #NationalDayforTruthandReconciliation. Great to see such strong interest and support from young people.
School administrators, system leaders and teachers across the Island took part in sessions to learn about social emotional learning, how to create educational environments that foster relationship-building, growth and development and genuine learning. Public Schools Branch Education PEI
The sessions included strategies to support staff and individual well-being. The program was led by Dr. David Tranter, author of The Third Path: A Relationship-Based Approach to Student Well-Being and Achievement. Public Schools Branch Education PEI
