It was an awesome morning ⁦Kevin Dukes Career & Innovation Academy⁩! We hosted our Spring Advisory committee to give updates on CTE in ⁦JacksonCountySchools⁩. Mrs. Brickley’s Culinary Arts students prepared and served our committee members breakfast and it was delicious! We recognized our medalists too!

HOSA ILC 2025 is underway in Nashville, TN! We are so excited for Olivia Parker and how she is representing JaCo Medical and the KDCIA!

HOSA ILC ‘25 day 1️⃣ is complete! Olivia completed Round 1 testing today and we attended Opening Session. Stay tuned for our fun adventures in Nashville, TN tomorrow. 🤠🩺

Day 2 in Nashville, TN for HOSA ILC was so much fun! Olivia made it to Round 2 in the Nursing Assisting competition! We tried new foods and seen some awesome things at the HOSA Expo. We ended the night with a trip to the Grand ‘Ol Opry! We seen Dustin Lynch and the Issacs! 🎸🎶

JaCo Medical is on the road again and headed to Atlanta, GA for the week to compete in the SkillsUSA NLC! We have 4 students competing and hoping to come home with some hardware to show off!

SkillsUSA NLC day 2 is underway and we are going strong! Attending orientations and setting up displays is in the agenda today! 💪🏽

Busy busy day 3️⃣ at SkillsUSA NLC! Lanie Summers made it to Round 2 in Action Skills and will compete again tomorrow! Haisa, Paisley, and August did amazing and will be set-up for the public to demo tomorrow! We are ending the day with some dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. 🎸

Thank you to Mr. McNutt and Mrs. Bryant for coming to Atlanta to support our students! We are thankful for you!

Day 4️⃣ Career Pathway Showcase is set-up and ready for the public to view. Lanie competed in Round 2 and did an amazing job. A lot of our Instructors and administration came by to show support! It’s been a great day so far!

Day 5️⃣ We cannot believe it is already time for Awards Session! We slept in and then had lunch at Metro Diner. It’s now time to get ready and head to State Farm Arena to hopefully bring home the hardware! Watch it live @ NLSC.SKILLSUSA.ORG, beginning at 4pm (3pm central).
