It was fun to help on this project! I love that the first night of NEID science observations were used for some cool stellar astrophysics with EPRV implications; there’s something really cool about seeing p-mode oscillations resolved in the time domain. Check out Arvind’s paper!

The eclipse as seen from Irvine, CA yesterday. Sporadic clouds in the first half made things difficult, so this is from maximum coverage (~9:20 local time) to the end (~10:50), with photos roughly 11 minutes apart. I love that you can make out some sun spots at the end!

I took an image every minute during yesterday's eclipse to make this video. I don't have a tracker, so I had to align (rotate & shift) each frame by hand. It's out of focus in the beginning because of some high, thin clouds, but I'm happy with how it turned out! #Eclipse2024
