Today, I proclaimed it Black Business Week in Minneapolis — marking our 5th year celebrating and supporting Black-owned businesses. From pop-ups to workshops to new partnerships, this week-long event is about investing in Black economic success and lifting up local entrepreneurs!

Our new mobile medical unit is almost ready to roll! This is about meeting people where they are — bringing care directly to underserved communities, addressing the opioid crisis head on, and making Minneapolis a healthier, safer city.

Big day for the Northside! We’re moving forward with the Upper Harbor amphitheater—an 8,000-person venue run by First Avenue and the Minnesota Orchestra. It’ll host 50 events a year, with a portion of every ticket sold reinvested right back into the community.

We’re connecting the Northside back to the riverfront and investing in jobs and a publicly-owned site that will quite literally give back to the neighborhood. North Minneapolis is a regional asset, and Upper Harbor Terminal is a game‑changing investment for our entire city!

We chose to improve our police department rather than to defund it. The result? Police recruitment and staffing are up, and violent crime is coming down. Let's keep rebuilding MPD so we can continue bringing down crime in our city.
