Here are my attempts at this—first one mapped to minimize total link lengths and the second being mapped onto a sphere (which definitely looks weird in 2D).

Student engagement in my class is at an all-time low despite my attempts at starting discussions. Like I get that the class isn’t on the most thrilling subject (Program Assessment), but it’s so disheartening to see <50% attendance and minimal participation. Spring break wya?

San Francisco is a great time (if a bit expensive)! Got good feedback and met cool people at #WPSA2023 then a Giants game to cap off the trip!

LET’S GO! So thankful for the help and guidance of @MichelLandgrave and the other professors here at Mizzou Truman School of Gov't & Public Affairs. It’s a great day to be a Tiger! Now to write some chapters…

The Louisiana House has approved the attached Louisiana Supreme Court map in a 94-10 vote. Note that it splits Jefferson Parish into three districts. District 2 is the new majority-Black district. District 7 remains a majority-Black district but with far fewer voters. #lalege

I spoke with KOMU 8 News regarding the new (returning?) Republican caucus system in Missouri. The biggest problems they face are informing the public and a likely decrease in turnout. Make sure you know how, when, and where you participate: komu.com/news/elections…

I am proud to have been voted the Outstanding Graduate Student during my last semester at Mizzou Truman School of Gov't & Public Affairs! Most of graduate school is a community effort, and I’m really thankful to the close friends I’ve made here for making it all possible.

Had a great time at SPSA this year! Packed schedule of research presentations, networking, and catching up with colleagues and friends in beautiful San Juan. Already looking forward to New Orleans next year!

I saw an early draft of this project at Western Political Science Association - #WPSA23’s 2023 conference in San Francisco, and I’m happy to see it finally land! An interesting blend of congressional behavior, interest groups, and parties here — read Robert’s thread for a TL;DR on the results. (And cite it!)
