Had to tell my mom yesterday that she needs to *start* social distancing. She is a classic high risk patient. She turned 59 yesterday and has stage IV lung cancer. Please wash your hands, do not touch your face, and practice social distancing as much as you are able. #COVID19

My cats have been stressed recently (they are being introduced to new cats). Today, Sarabi was napping and Nala gave her a ball. Nala loves this ball more than anything else and it has melted my heart. #barcs #barcsalumni

Thanks Andrew Pekosz for an awesome seminar. It's a tremendous amount of work in a short time. And of course, I had to virtually sit next to my former BCMB classmate, Jawara Allen. Stay connected out there.

I did something similar at my first day as a Junior Curator at @naturalsciences. I let the chinchilla escape in the Living Collections room. He was very agile! We gave it a dust bath after we caught him to make sure he was ok. This tread gave me flashbacks.

Perceptions of #dog breed temperments are ingrained in our culture. Breed #stereotypes play out in dog parks, show up in city ordinances & leases, are celebrated at dog shows, and infuse Hollywood movies... but what if I told you dog temperment doesn't work like that? 1/n
