It’s been a tough few days. I’ve been inking as fast as I can. A few pieces of art I’ve been considering for a pop culture collection haven’t been suitable, so I’ve been reworking some older paintings into prints with smoother colour combinations.

This has taken some doing. I’ve changed some of the letter shapes to better fit the layout of the poster. It’s still a little janky, but I quite like that. It’ll have the human touch when paired with the drawing.

I like drawing things to entertain my daughter.

It’s too hot to work in the day, so I’ve been cleaning the studio and trying to catalogue and store work correctly. There’s been so many projects I worked on over the last few years I haven’t written about. I’m finally getting a bit more time to reflect on it all.

Added some new colours to an old illustration that was used to promote a workshop many years ago. I didn't want to overdo any over the top shading and wanted to line work to breathe.

I was a little surprised to see these illustrations didn't really "hit" when I posted them a while back. I guess that's the nature of the internet now. Due to my commitments and life, I can't regularly post all the time, and when I make a big image, it gets lost in the noise.
