Strength is built on a foundation of repeated successes with technical mastery. If you want to get strong, stop missing so many lifts.

Strength training is for ALL athletes. The idea that it only benefits some sports is misguided. Stronger athletes beat weaker athletes in everything. Build them strong! đŸ™ŒđŸ»đŸ’ȘđŸ»đŸ“ˆ

Tony Vitello just gave one of the fiercest postgame press conference openings I’ve ever seen. He was clearly upset with a question from yesterday asking if they lost tonight, would this season be seen as a success. There was A LOT more involved with this.

Had an athlete lose their breakfast at the ripe hour of 10:00 this morning and then make the decision to continue the lift. But you’re telling me your 50% sleep score is keeping you from sending it today

“Show up at work every day and get out of my car excited, have fun and be around people that want to be here. Be in an environment you want to get to every day. 💯 percent success,” Tony Vitello Winning starts with the attitude, enthusiasm and passion you give to your team.

Big fan of this post. You’re not always gonna feel juiced. Get it in either way. There’s obviously outlier situations such as overtraining etc, but not getting after it that day because you’re “not feeling it” is a sorry excuse The best athletes are the most consistent ones

Guys that bounce from program to program do not have a compliance or communication problem. They have fried dopamine receptors from continuously having access to as much information as they want, which makes them think that they are constantly getting the new best thing or idea

Pro athletes doing the most complicated training ever. This stuff is crazy advanced. (Heavy on the sarcasm) Just become a savage at the basics!

High school athletes with full time strength coaches at their schools: Never again will you get to train as much, have as much accessibility, train with your hometown friends, build a base at a young age that can last a long time, etc.. FOR FREE, then you do now.

If you think something isn’t possible, you’re right. If you think something IS possible, you’re also right. No absolutes in this life. Just unwavering belief and action in either direction. Your words carry weight. Make sure they move in the right direction.

Like it or not simply training hard will probably get you better. Optimal or suboptimal. If you show up everyday and actually try, that’s sick and you’ll probably be better next season.

Every HS & MS needs a full time and credentialed S&C coach. If a teacher needs a cert to teach class so do those who are in charge of the programming that goes on for athletic performance. That’s a classroom too

Enjoy this journey while you can. There will be a day when you don’t have anyone to throw with or lift with or play pickup racquetball and then hit the sauna after with. There will be a day when you can’t immediately roll from your workout into breakfast/lunch/dinner with 8

Does your bench DWARF your pull ups? Does your deadlift DOMINATE your squat? It’s not uncommon. But It might be a problem. Here’s why âŹ‡ïž (THREAD)
