HIGHLIGHTS: Cascade Cougars upsets Regina in the 2A substate quarterfinals. The Cougars win 4-0 with all four runs in the sixth inning. Pitcher Jackson Green shuts down the conference champion Regals in seven innings of work.

A beautiful day - sans an inning of rain - for baseball. Defending state champs CR Kennedy (CR Kennedy Cougar Baseball) survives an outstanding effort from crosstown rival Wash (CR Warriors Baseball). Cougars win 9-8, after the Warriors got the go-ahead run to the plate in the top of the seventh.



They're gonna love this one in the coach's room. Jesup's Marlie Schissel crushes a triple, after the throw gets away, eighth grader Alexis Jensen backs it up from her spot in left field. Catcher Emma Dietsch puts on the tag- crisis averted! Lisbon Softball takes the 4-1 win.

No one plays small ball like North Linn. The Lynx do what it takes to beat North Tama. They win the Traer-Troy Mills tussle 9-1, heading to the substate finals. North Linn Baseball





Cascade left no doubt. Simply put, a softball HATE to see them coming. Here are some highlights of the Cascade Cougars assault on softballs provided by Dyersville Beckman. Cascade beats their Dubuque County rivals 13-3. They are headed to state for the first time in a decade.
