Maybe the journey isn't about becoming anything. Maybe it's about unbecoming everything that really isn't you, so you can become the you that you were meant to be in the first place.

There comes a point in every victims/survivors life when they say, "I've had enough." Then they actually do something about it. It may take time, but getting away and protecting yourself is key.

Love yourself enough to go no contact with your abuser, even if it's family. It won't get any better staying around them, but it will get worse.

Hard lesson, not everybody has your back. In fact, it could be your family that is wielding the knife behind you.
