Zoom in and you can see us in the distance in the first pic - other one taken from the boat - we are well away from a small narrow in the canal at Gas St Basin - yet 8.20am today got hit head on by a private boat going fast out of the cutting (he also looked drunk) 😤☹️

Canal & River Trust One of your staff has just visited us & came onto our boat to experience the precarious angle of it. Whilst it was nice to meet him, it still leaves us in the same situation for the next 7-10 days. We know the Crt are getting pumps in place to fill 1/2

2/2 this side of the breach & I can appreciate the logistics involved in doing this. So as I understand it we are just going to have to grin & bear it until the water level is high enough to re float us!

Hi all wonder if anyone can help - I’m trying to contact Vetus as a problem with a leaky gearbox - it’s under warranty - I’ve tried phoning a contact I was given and I’ve messaged and whatsapped - I’ve emailed the company and it’s an automated address ☹️☹️

Our first river cruise - The Thames - sooo different from canal cruising - a head in the water ??? And our little dog - deaf - almost blind and with doggy dementia - in a world of her own 🐾❤️

Called Canal and River Rescue - seal has blown on prop - told we aren’t covered and DONT move your boat she could sink !!! Feel quite sick ☹️

Part 1 - We’re fixed 🎉 RCR came out yesterday - turns out back of engine had dropped down putting strain on seal of prop shaft making it pop out-engine mounts adjusted - also appears ‘old type seal’ had been fitted and ordinary grease instead of silicon ….,

Part 2 - new type now fitted - I had a bit of a melt down and went to daughters and had a family fix for 6 days - first thing this morning- topped up with water and on the move - felt good - thx to all for your concerns 👍🏻

If anyone knows the owner of Mr Toads Escape - the boat was Suez across canal outside Cropredy marina - mooring pins still on end of lines - managed to pull across and knock in stern and centre mooring pin / may need another check later in day

What a fab afternoon with these two - lovely couple - put the world to right with a few beverages 😜😘

Said Goodnight to my Pip today - hurting and crying and heart is breaking - 16 years with the best dog ever - can’t believe I’ll never see her again - it was time 😥😥😥🐾💕
