Dartmoor is hot & dry. Fire risk high & great caution needed. In adapting to climate shifts we might wish to expand temperate rainforests there & elsewhere. The open moorland is tinder dry. Rainforest 200 metres away is cool & relatively moist & at lower risk of combustion.

16 years ago today, I stood on a bridge in London ready to end my life. This year I ran across it. I couldn’t cope with being groomed as a kid, sexually abused & silenced by shame. It’s been a hard road hospital stays, setbacks & starting over. I’m still here & I'm glad I stayed.

This Thai street dog arrived to us this week. He is incredibly happy today just 5 days after being rescued. His story is one that proves dogs feel emotions. His comeback has been astounding (1/7) 🧵

"Feargal Sharkey just nailed the £100bn water industry nationalisation lie." And here's the thing, it is a lie, a complete and total fabrication, none of it based on what anyone with any grasp of the situation could even remotely recognise as reality. thecanary.co/uk/analysis/20…

On the streets of Thailand he had nothing. He was tiny and alone. You can always see in the dog’s eyes how big the struggle has been. Shaggy is unrecognizable now in America… (1/6) 🧵
