They are hot!! Can anyone tell me with some sort of decent data if there are performance differences between shaded pens and non shaded pens for sheep ?? I keep getting told there are not but I am finding it hard to believe

A shade solution for hot lambs. We have repurposed our split poly tanks from around the farm and some great neighbours who donated theirs. Top and bottom on posts and two halves to make arches. About 45m2 per tank. Great little idea from my 19 year old jackaroo.

Look at the disgusting amount of CEWH allocated to the lower lakes of south Australia. Over half of all Environmental water. It seems Everybody is equal just some are more equal than others. I bet some of that water would be handy in Menindee right now #fail

I had to post this cause this has been a battle, these lambs were weaned very light (down to 10kg) and very early ( 6-12 weeks). We have put 246 days of every day work in and am enjoying the outcome.

The things you see ina drought! This little bloke is miles from a dam or creek but found a leaking pipe! He also scared the shit outa me.

First Ewes back onto grass since Oct 17. These girls have never eaten green grass in their lives, born May 2018, amazing to watch them do it for the first time,they certainly don’t need a lesson. So f*ckin’good!!!

Tagging wether lambs for Australia Merino Lamb Trial today and clients shearing ewe hoggets. First 600 out of about 1500 averaged 10.1 kg. 6 Shearer’s doing on average 32 a run. 16.1 kg of 18.5 micron wool a minute coming across the table. Good to see how little brothers go AMLT.
