A #postdoctoral position is available in my lab to work on mechanisms of cell cycle control in E. coli. For more details, see: volweb.utk.edu/~jmannik/index… . If interested, please e-mail a CV and a brief description of your expertise to [email protected] . #physicalbiology
Our new ms in collaboration with Amir Lab Ariel Amir in bioRxiv sheds a new light on processes that rate-limit cell division in E. coli and proposes a new model for what triggers the onset of constriction. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
New findings on E. coli cell division: Using high throughput imaging & stochastic modeling, we show that FtsZ—not FtsN—drives constriction at fast growth rates. Great collaboration with Ariel Amir and Prathitha Kar nature.com/articles/s4146… #Microbiology
