Developed a persistent cough conveniently on gate duty this morning 🙈 test completed 😣 fingers crossed for a swift return to school

Friend is a TA in high school. Bad headache @ weekend, weak etc Tues lost taste & smell, test wed, positive Thurs. Fri rings school to tell them & they say she was working in the class where a student tested positive. Can't help but think they could have told her that sooner 🤔

Results back.. NEGATIVE! Back to school on Monday. Hope my colleagues are coping ok today

Phone call at 2:15 today. Child in school has tested positive, didn't THINK they would be so sent them in after having test over weekend 🙈

My youngest's bubble has burst thanks to a positive so I'm back at home feeling guilty about not doing my job and wondering if I'll get paid or not 🙈

So I have two weeks without pay because I have to look after my 5yo. How can this be fair? Working class being screwed again.

Back to school tomorrow after nearly 2 weeks isolating a 5 yo. I've quite enjoyed it despite not getting paid I realised my children need me more than my job. Its OK to put your family first, work will replace you, they can't.

Is there any specialist advice for children (teens) that have been around a convicted paedophile and parents have started to question if childs behaviour/things in the past are down to previous abuse? How to discuss this with a prickly teenager?

Preparing for my last week in education. This past week has made me realise ive made the right choice. I've missed going to the gym 3x, been given a report to write at 4.20pm on Fri for Monday and don't have enough money to pay my bills due to not being paid whilst off with my 5y

I am completely drained. Difficult professionals meeting, no real ownership or meaningful support to school or family despite being desperate for help, followed by the shit show that is our government. I am dissolusioned on a whole new level today 🤔

Usually a kopperberg or vodka and coke kinda gal never gin, but been gifted this today and would seem rude to not enjoy it. What will go with it to convert me?

I left my job today. It was hectic and emotional. I vow to challenge services and societies expectations on schools. I promise I will do my best for the amazing people who devote their life and fill the gap with little thanks or recognition.
