When your storm chase becomes breaking news. We were tracking a storm between Spring Valley, MN and Chester, IA on US 63 when the wind blew over this semi. Thankfully the driver is okay. facebook.com/share/v/R5EbvQ…

Quieting down tonight as temps cool through the 60s down to the lower 50s just in time for the arrival of fall. Rain will be on the decrease overnight and the clouds will be quick to follow during the day on Sunday.

Happy Fall, y'all! The fall is officially here as of 7:44 am this morning and the weather will feel like it with cloudy skies through most of the day and temps only rising to the mid-60s.

Looking forward to another beautiful fall day starting off a bit chilly in the morning, with low temps dipping into the mid 40s. Warming up to 70 for a high. Kids will need the jackets at the bus stop, otherwise another day for outside recess!

Another mild, dry, and beautiful Friday evening for football! The forecast won't change much during the weekend as we're expecting these conditions to continue. A cooldown is coming, but not until the beginning of next week. Have a great weekend!

It was a warm one today and several record highs were tied or broken. The exception being Albert Lea, where the 1898 record still stands. The warmth will continue through the beginning of next week before a big cool down arrives.

Great weather for the apple orchard for the next several days with mostly sunny skies. Warmer temperatures early in the week but October begins much cooler on Tuesday with temps only in the mid 60s.

Another warm one in store for Sunday as temps will climb back into the 80s. Starting off mild in the mid 50s but will warm up quickly. This warm weather will continue through Monday before some changes arrive for the first of October.

It's been warm today, but not necessarily record-breaking. That honor goes to September 30, 2023, when the mercury soared to the 90s for both Rochester and Mason City. Changes are in the forecast starting tomorrow thanks to a potent dry cold front.

Looking for the perfect pumpkin? Now's a great time to get out to the pumpkin patch! Cooler and windy on Sunday and then the winds will take a break and temperatures will slowly warm through the 70s through the week ahead with no rain chances.

You might want to avoid doing any burning today as the fire risk will be elevated. Any fires that start could get out of control quickly thanks to the dry conditions and gusty winds out of the northwest.

Jackets will be needed first thing in the morning as we drop into the upper 30s with some patchy frost for Monday morning. Warming up into the low to mid-60s with light winds and partly cloudy skies, a great start to the school week!

Another chilly morning ahead with clear skies and light winds with temps in the low 40s, so jackets will be needed as the kids head off to school, but we'll be warming up into the 70s by the afternoon. Another beautiful day ahead!
