A sensitisation program on emerging & re-emerging wildlife diseases,focusing on preventive measures, early detection & response protocols, was recently conducted for frontline forest staff at the Central Range, Raimona National Park #Assam jointly organised by WTI & Assam Forest Department


A female Asian #elephant calf was found stranded on a riverbed in the Sonai Rupai WLS in #Assam earlier this week. It was swept by a surge in water level due to heavy pre-monsoon #rains. Promptly rescued by Assam Forest Department, it is currently being cared for at #CWRC, #Kaziranga.
