Congrats to our new Dr. in town: Friederike Mey! Yesterday, she defended her PhD entitled “Integration of synthetic biology, systems biology and machine learning for the production of chitooligosaccharides in 𝐸𝑠𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑎 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑖” Good luck Rike in your future career!

Last week, our own Wouter Demeester obtained his PhD in Bioscience Engineering, titled 'Standardization and expansion of microbial cell sensors: harnessing the power of LysR-type transcriptional regulators'. Congrats!! Very happy he will stay for a bit longer in our research group🤓
