Thankfully The Day the Crayons Quit has been *retained* in Katy ISD but the fact that staff time was wasted to “review” it over its references to “nudity” (a crayon without a wrapper) is Orwellian and outrageous.

Book banners are targeting public libraries too. Private book sellers are next. But they don’t wanna be called book banners until they succeed in getting books banned from Amazon. Got it. 😑

One parent has challenged over 60 books in Katy ISD without filing formal requests for reconsideration. She has been given a “fast pass” to submit lists of dozens of books directly to the “internal review” cue. This is not normal. Even for us.
