With more snow/sleet in the forecast this is a good time to remind drivers: Don't Crowd the Plow! The Westlake Service Dept works hard to keep roadways safe for all. Slow down, stay at least 50 feet back from snow plows....and stay off the phone! #staywarmwestlake

Westlake High School SRO Gaertner helped the French Club "Stuff the Cruiser" with donations to the Animal Protective League this week. WPD's partnership with the Westlake City Schools allows a WPD School Resource Officer to be full time in each and every public school.

WPD Emily is happy that Santa Paws will be visiting tonight. She also knows that other, not so jolly visitors sometimes take advantage of the holiday distractions which cause people to forget to lock their car doors and take the keys and fobs out of their vehicles when parked.

Wires Down! Hilliard Bl is currently closed at Coes Post Run (Between Dover and Bassett) due to a utility pole being in the roadway along with wires. Police, Fire, Westlake Service and CEI are working on the issue now. Treat any dark traffic signals as 4 way stops!
