Question for the solar installers. I have a job that we fitted 10 panels, 3.6kw Giv hybrid and 9.5kW battery. Customer wants to double up panels and battery. Would you replace with a 5kW inverter, or add a second 3.6kW hybrid and 9.5 battery??

I’m currently pricing up a Givenergy AIO system…..what’s other installers preference for the PV inverter?? Do you go Givenergy hybrid……or just a standard string inverter?? Would it annoy me to have different brands??? Probably😂

One for heat pump installers…guy came to commission a HP today, says that the RCBO needs to be 25amp, currently 32amp, but is refusing to sign off. I argued that the OC is there to protect the cable (6mm) and not his HP. Am I incorrect??

Can any sparks out there recommend a good cable marker? It’s for an armour that’s ran externally so it needs to be hard wearing and weatherproof I remember using black plastic ones with yellow markings, but don’t know what they are called? Can they be personalised?

Been asked to design a PV system. It’s on a tiny slaughter house but their consumption is very high!! I can get 30 odd panels on the south facing roof. I can get the same on the opposite side, but is it crazy to put panels on a north facing roof?? There’s an option for ground too
