Today is National Intern Day, and we are celebrating ours at City Hall! Our interns are smart, innovative, and creative, bringing fresh perspectives to our work and processes. Our hope is that this internship has been as impactful and informative for them as it has been for us.

🎒Our Community Navigator team joined Agape Atlanta this weekend for their Back 2 School Bonanza event! This event served over 200 students with school supplies, backpacks, and additional resources- including vision and dental testing, tennis shoes, and more.

Have you heard about @WelcomingAtlanta's Community Resource Events? They held one yesterday and provided useful free items for families, including groceries. ATLDOT supplied reflective safety items and other giveaways to help our youth safely walk and bike around the city.

🌍🌟Our staff and Community Navigator teams loved joining the 4th Annual Beloved Community International Expo The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center! With 30+ countries represented, this was an opportunity to explore cultures, foster understanding, and build Dr. King’s vision of a ‘Beloved Community.’

💃🎉It was a great weekend celebrating music, dance, identity, and culture at Latino Community Fund Inc.’s #EstamosAquí Fiesta in Historic Old Fourth Ward Park! Our Community Navigators volunteered during the event, which included Latinx food vendors, cultural performances, & artisan crafts.

Our team joined Young Middle School for Curriculum Night to engage families around upcoming opportunities! We host Community Resource Events in 2 neighborhoods in this district, and we’re working to build better connections between home & school for Young MS students + families.

We are kicking off #WelcomingWeek2024, & this year’s theme is “We’re All In!” Welcoming Week is an annual campaign led by Welcoming America which highlights the programs and policies that are making communities more welcoming places for all, including immigrants and newcomers.

🇺🇸We were honored to host our annual #Naturalization Ceremony with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services at Atlanta City Hall this morning. 🗽During the ceremony, we welcomed 50 new US citizens from 25 countries around the world! #CitizenshipDay
