The winners have been announced! Three projects to be funded: 1) West End Calisthenics park 2) Sidewalk improvements 3) Music + sports school grants

West End Seniors' Network was so proud to be part of the WE Choo$e Impact Team that helped to pilot participatory budgeting in Vancouver for the very first time.

The West End has a reputation of being very walkable, but there are a lot of areas where sidewalks are in desperate need of repair. We think that this funded project will help make our great neighbourhood that much more accessible for people of all ages

Having access to free outdoor exercise equipment will give more low-income individuals living in our community the ability to improve and maintain their health. And it will be so close to our Barclay Manor location that we think many older adults will use it

The Stanley Park Rose Garden is turning 100 this month! "The garden was established in 1920 after the Kiwanis Club gave the Vancouver Park Board $3,600 to build it. Today, the garden contains 60 beds, each with between 30 to 50 rose bushes." Happy birthday! #stanleypark #bc
