Today, Lead Safe Westchester funded registration costs for 25 attendees to receive EPA RRP Lead Renovator Initial Certification training. Today's training was conducted by CertRebel. WCDP wants to thank CertRebel for all of their efforts.

Thank you to all of our partners who helped coordinate and conduct the regional Envirothon event on 4/25/25. Staff from WCDP, Soil & Water Conservation District PARKS, and Recreation all assisted. Participants included 14 schools, 25 teams, and 181 students and teachers.

WCDP and Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) are launching Potable Projects for Tomorrow, a new program allowing High School teachers to apply up to $1,000 in funds to help student projects ranging from aquatics, ecology, forestry, and more. Deadline is 6/30/25. APPLY NOW!

On behalf of WCDP, we are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Rose Noonan, former Executive Director of Housing Action Council. Rose was a tireless advocate for affordable housing in the Hudson Valley and beyond. Our thoughts & prayers are with Rose’s family at this time.

Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins and WCDP launched the new Homeseeker platform, which is an interactive, web-based portal. This new platform provides users with info on affordable housing opportunities while also allowing them to apply directly through the platform.

WCDP will be administering the Complete Streets Municipal Program in which Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins announced $15M in funding for. The Complete Streets Municipal Program is designed to assist local municipalities with up to 50% of program project costs.
