While out scouting soybeans today with a hoolahoop and spade this is what I found. Looks like some soybeans can find moisture better than others. The long root is 14.5 inches, 21 days growth.

One way to make a farmer happy: Have your local sheep farmer mob graze his flock on your multi species, strip-tilled cover crop. Win win for everyone.
