Using water wisely to keep plants healthy is important in hot weather. You can put up a sunshade over your plants to protect them, move containers into a shadier spot, push containers together so they shade each other, or throw a light fabric over them. #WatersWorthSaving

That’s a big one! Southern Water has removed a 50kg #fatberg – the same as a baby hippo! – from a sewer in West Sussex. Fatbergs are formed when wet wipes, & other items, combine with fats & grease from cooking. Don’t feed a fatberg always #BinTheWipe! #fatsblockpipes

Water companies must balance maintaining pipes and other infrastructure with protecting important natural sites. Essex & Suffolk Water has successfully replaced 3.5kms of water pipes close to Hanningfield Reservoir which is home to a range of species including Great Crested Newts.
